For the next several weeks I'm implementing a Free Friday promotion over at Amazon. For 24 hours starting early Friday morning one of my Kindle-available titles will be downloadable for the grand price of nothing! Up first will be Imperfect Judgment, my science fiction romance tale about a pair of mis-matched lovers, recently revised for my "Janet Miller" line of books.

March 29, 2012

I have uploaded two stories to Smashwords and Amazon, and one is even FREE! Both are Science Fiction Romance, and the free book is a short story in my popular Gaian world. Imperfect Judgment  is about a young man from an earlier space colony finding love when he goes to drive off the new colonists responsible for illness in his village. The Girl In The Box is about a young woman confined to a motorized wheelchair falling hopelessly in love with a young Gaian man, sight unseen.

Check them out!

I'm proud to be part of a benefit anthology featuring fellow fae Eden Robins, Amanda McIntyre, Sahara Kelly, Taige Crenshaw, Vijaya Schartz, Joy Nash, Liddy Midnight and Kayce Lassiter, the money going to help Tina Gerow with her medical expenses.

For several years now I've participated in the Romantic Times Faery Ball, and it has been a lot of fun. As part of the ball I've met some lovely people, including Tina Gerow. When it was announced that Tina had a medical condition that she was going to need money for, fellow Fae Amanda McIntyre suggested we put together a fairy tale collection of stories based on old fairy tales but with a modern twist.

To my delight my story A Modern Dancing Princess, about a hard-boiled detective investigating how a wealthy man's daughter is wearing out her shoes every night, was selected for the collection. All royalties for the collection will be going to help Tina with her medical bills, because after all, us fae have to help each other out!

Today I’m celebrating a new release. Memories Undone is out at Ellora’s Cave, a novel built in my fantasy world of Gal.

Today I’m celebrating a new release. Memories Undone is out at Ellora’s Cave, a novel built in my fantasy world of Gal.

Memories Undone is about a couple who think they are wrong for each other until a divine individual intervenes on their behalf. In this case the couple is Captain Albinan and his wife Livilia, princess of Gal, and the divinity is Gillian D'Amatah, goddess of hearth, home, and love.

This book is a continuation of my stories about Gillian, a goddess with a wicked sense of humor. Gillian tends to interfere when she thinks people are about to do the wrong thing even if they think they are right.

They aren't of course. Goddess Gillian always knows best.

I've been working on this story for a while and I'm thrilled it is finally out - just one day before my own wedding anniversary. What a great present!
